Food deliveries are coordinated by your steward and financial manager. Someone must be present for all food deliveries, so that food can be put away immediately, especially perishable food. It is against Bethlehem City Code to leave perishable food unattended upon delivery.
Often there is clean up required after food deliveries. The chapter is responsible for this follow up:
- Break down boxes from deliveries immediately and take them to the recycling toters.
- Milk crates should be returned to your delivery service, not left in the yard or throughout the house.
- Many chapters find it helpful to have a bin available for bread deliveries so that the local wildlife does not interfere with delivery.
