Master Key Policy

You are here

The House President and House Manager(s) are authorized to obtain house master keys. These master keys must be personally signed out by the individual at the Housing Services Office. Any lost master keys should be reported immediately to the Office of Housing Services and will result in the re-keying of the house at the expense of the Chapter and the cost to do this work will be charged to the individual who lost the master key.

Master keys should only be used for lock-outs and emergencies. Rooms may not be unlocked at opening with the master key; residents should pick up their keys to have access to their rooms. If misuse is discovered, that person will lose his/her right to have a master key.
