Residence hall housing during the summer sessions may be leased by any undergraduate level student who is registered for classes, is a current Lehigh student working on or near campus (written confirmation of employment will be required), or any current students who are not able to travel home for the summer.
Summer housing will be provided in the new Singleton, Hitch & Maida Houses. Summer session housing rates per person are $750 per session. All students will be assigned to a single bedroom within a suite where they will share a bathroom with one other person. Suitemate requests will be honored so long as both students have signed a housing contract and have a a mutal request to room with each other on that contract.
If you have a medical or special housing need that the Office of Housing Services should be aware of with regards to your housing placement, please indicate this information on your Housing Application/Contract. Additionally, please be sure to follow all necessary steps to properly document your housing need by May 1st for Summer Session I and June 1st for Summer Session II.
A meal plan is required for all students living in summer housing. Students will be able to select from three different meal plans. All meals on the meal plan will be served in the CORT Dining Hall in the University Center. All meal plan options will include Dining Dollars which can be used at open dining locations across campus.
Microfridges are available for rental during both summer sessions. To reserve your microfridge for the summer, please contact Microfridge once you have received your housing assignment in early May.
Terms of Lease
The Residence Hall Summer Housing Contract is a binding agreement to reside in and be financially responsible for both residence hall housing and the summer meal plan through the close of the session(s) for which housing has been contracted. A student who voluntarily withdraws from the University or moves out of the Residence Halls after check-in is obligated to the full session charge. The meal plan will be prorated based on the date of withdrawal.
