Heat

You are here

Heat is generally turned on in mid-October and turned off in mid-April. Weather forecasts are used to determine the actual timeline.

Heat is controlled by thermostats in buildings. They should be kept a moderate temperature as they can affect a large range of spaces. For more specific information about how heat works at your building, talk with the maintenance technician assigned to your building or refer to the poster guide in your residence hall.

If there are heat concerns, place a work order listing specific issues and locations. If the heat is not working, this is an emergency, and you should follow the emergency maintenance protocol.
