Snow Policy
Snow removal from parking lots:
Plowing of parking lots in the residential areas will occur when there is significant (more than an inch) of accumulated snow on the ground. The plow will make a single pass through the parking lot and also clear out the space in front of the garbage cans.
Snow removal from walkways:
Facilities Services will begin snow removal once it has been determined that snow accumulation will present a hazard to the students, faculty, and staff of Lehigh University. Once the main road through Saucon Village have been cleared, facilities will clear the walkways to each building.
Snow removal from vehicles:
Residents are responsible for clearing and removing snow from their own vehicles in the event of bad weather. Residents are encouraged to keep up with snow removal around their vehicles if the snow begins to accumulate. Prior to our first winter storm, Housing Services will put a snow shovel in each building so that residents can use them. We ask that all residents return them to the buildings’ entrance when finished so everyone has access to them.
