Van Rental: Student Clubs/Organizations

All vehicle rentals (school bus, van and car) must be arranged through the University's Transportation Services department. The main purpose of this regulation is to insure proper coverage should you be involved in an accident. There are a number of vehicles in the university's fleet along with a limited number of external vehicles at our disposal. Internal rentals are limited to persons aged 18 and above. It is necessary, however, that you are 21 years of age or older to drive an external rental. Vehicles are rented on a first come, first serve basis, therefore, it recommended that reservations be made as far in advance as possible.

Cancellation of a vehicle rental for a weekend day, without incurring a minimum charge, must occur by noon of the Monday prior to the rental. For a weekday rental, by noon of the day prior to the rental. Late cancellations will incur a minimum charge for the number of days of the rental. When a club does not pick up a vehicle and does not notify Transportation Services or incurs repeated late cancellation charges, costs will be funded from club money.

Tickets received while you are in possession of a rental vehicle are your personal responsibility. If you do not pay the ticket within the stated period of time, it will be passed on to Transportation Services with a penalty and additional fees will be incurred. Ultimately, these costs are your responsibility and, if not paid, will be charged to your Bursar Account.
