Effective January 12, 2026, new technology will automatically update flight coupons when a customer fails to show up for their flight. Passengers who do not cancel or modify their reservations prior to departure will forfeit the value of their tickets.
Delta requires customers to inform the airline before departure if they wish to change or cancel their ticket in order to keep its value. Customers who do not show up and fail to notify either their travel agent or Delta about a change or cancellation prior to departure will lose the ticket's value.
Tickets affected by an irregular operations event or a major schedule change will be exempt from Delta's new No-Show Policy.
