Travelers will now need a state-issued REAL ID compliant license or identification card, or another acceptable form of ID—such as a passport—to fly within the United States. Please visit the Homeland Security website for additional information regarding REAL ID.
Effective January 12, 2026, new technology will automatically update flight coupons when a customer fails to show up for their flight. Passengers who do not cancel or modify their reservations prior to departure will forfeit the value of their tickets.
Customers who do not show up and fail to notify either their travel agent or Delta about a change or cancellation prior to departure will lose the ticket's value.
