Purchasing Services Participates in Organization of eWaste Collection
Lehigh will host its 2nd campus-wide eWaste collection from 4/16 - 4/18, 2013. Purchasing Services is proud to be part of the campus group, including departments such as LTS and Facilities, that researched and set up this collection. The campus-wide collection is an easy way for departments to responsibly recycle their unwanted desktop and laptop PCs, printers, and peripherals (monitors, keyboards, and mice) owned by Lehigh University.
To participate, departments must register by 4/9 their unwanted computers, printers, and peripherals at http://cf.lehigh.edu/ewaste/. Although the disposal department will erase hard disk drives, departments should erase their own drives for added peace of mind. You can find instructions for erasing hard disk drives at http://cf.lehigh.edu/act/disposal/killdisk.cfm. You will receive an email confirming the day, time frame and pick-up preparation instructions by 4/12.
